William Joseph Gann
William Joseph Gann (Bill), 71, of Burleson, TX passed away at home surrounded by family on December 18, 2022. He was born October 20, 1951 in Fulton County, Hickman, KY. Bill grew up with his brother, Jimmy, on the family farm in Kentucky and graduated from Marion Abramson Senior High School in New Orleans, LA. He attended Murray State University in Murray, KY, and was a longtime resident of Stafford, VA. He was a shop forman and master mechanic for the County of Fairfax in Virginia. He retired in 2017, with a sincere fondness for his friends and former colleagues. A life-long car enthusiast and Corvette man, Bill enjoyed hunting, spending time outdoors, coaching baseball, and watching the Washington Capitals, Redskins, and the Mecum Car Auction. He is survived by his loving children, Amanda Gann Gayler and husband, Troy of Burleson, TX, Jeremy Gann and wife, Kimberly of Stafford, VA, Joshua Gann of Boston, MA, and Carrie Gann Reid and husband Brian of Clemmons, NC, his beloved grandchildren, Aidan, Jacob, Andrew, Cooper, Willow, and Barrett, and is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Effie Harrison, mother, Patsy Harrison Ferguson, father, James Howard Gann, Jr., and brother, James Howard Gann III. A come-and-go memorial gathering will take place on December 29, 2022 from 1pm-3pm at The Clubhouse at Aquia Harbour, located at 204 Bow Cove, Stafford, VA. Donations can be made in Bill’s honor to The Lewy Body Dementia Association or The American Parkinson Disease Association.
