Which Cremation Package Is Right for You?
Which cremation package is right for you and your loved ones? Compare cremation packages and their benefits to help you plan today.

Is there ever a good time to plan for your funeral? Have you given it any thought?

Maybe not, but the good news is you can plan for this well in advance. There are options! You can keep your family members well informed and less worried when the time comes.

Have you considered cremation or ever looked at a cremation package? Interestingly, more and more people are choosing cremation. A survey by Choice Mutual in 2020 showed that over 44% of people now opt for cremation, in comparison to just 4% in 1960. This shows that traditional burial is no longer the norm, and people are looking for other options with lower costs.

Let’s take a look at what cremation package options are available as well as cremation insurance. Those need-to-know details.

We will help you to get started with the basics and work your way towards a plan both you and your family can afford.

Cremation Insurance

The actual cost of a funeral is ever-increasing, and how can we afford to plan for the costs? If you are opting to go with cremation, then you may want to consider purchasing a cremation insurance policy.

Cremation insurance is a type of term life insurance that covers the cost of cremation. This insurance is easier to qualify for than it is with other types of life insurance.

Typically, there is no medical exam needed so even poor health should not disqualify you.

Benefits to cremation insurance include:

  • No need for a medical exam.
  • Acceptance is guaranteed.
  • You can use the funds anywhere, at any funeral home.
  • There are fixed premiums
  • Flexible coverage is available.
  • Approval is fast.
  • You can gain interest on any cash value from your insurance.

Things to consider:

  • You have to pay for a two-year period before you can collect benefits.
  • Immediate policies cost more, but this eliminates the two-year wait.
  • Cost and premiums vary based on your age and gender.
  • Most policies are not available after you turn 100 years old.

If you want to look into cremation insurance further, there are some well-known and established companies that are a good idea to consider. AARP, AIG, Gerber Life Insurance, and Transamerica Life Insurance are great options to research.

Now that we have the insurance basics out of the way, it is time to look into what packages are available.
