Tracy Daron Green
Tracy Daron Green, 58, of McKinney, Texas passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2020. He was born in Dallas, Texas on June 20, 1961. Tracy attended DeSoto High School. He went on to study mortuary services at Dallas Institute of Funeral Services. He married Mary Lynette Green on October 26, 2013. After spending thirteen years in the funeral business he transitioned to a career in Information Technology. Tracy was an avid cyclist and participated in many rides across Texas. In August 2018, he completed his first 100-mile Hotter ‘n Hell Hundred ride in Wichita Falls, Texas. In 2019 Tracy participated in his first 150-mile MS 150 ride raising funds for multiple sclerosis. Being a type 2 diabetic himself Tracy was very passionate about his role with the Tour de Cure ride raising funds for the American Diabetes Association. He participated in the ride in 2018, served as Co-Chairman on the 2019 committee, and was Chairman in 2020. Tracy is survived by his wife, Mary Lynette Green, his daughter Ashley Nicole Hopper, son in law Colton Hopper, and grandson Hudson Chase Hopper; step son Matthew Brannin Renner, step daughter Amy Lauren Goffinet, son in law Zachary Goffinet, and grandson Renner Gregory Goffinet; mother Peggy Knight and step father Jack Knight. Tracy was preceded in death by his father Tillman Lou Green, Jr. A private memorial will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, to celebrate Tracy’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Tracy’s honor at www.diabetes.org.

  1. Tracy was a great man, husband, father and friend. I appreciated him cycling for my brother Jack who lost his battle with m.s. I didn’t spend alot of time with Tracy during our high school years but each time has been a cherished memory with losts of laughs I will always remember with losts of smiles.
