Ted Pyles
Ted Pyles, Follower of Christ, Husband, Father, grandfather, veteran and avid golfer peacefully left his earthly body to be with Jesus on at 3:16 a.m. on October 29th. Ted is survived by his wife of 45 years Colleen, sons Bryan and Noel, and two sisters Karen and Linda and several nieces and nephews. He also is survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and joins 1 great grandchild that preceded him to Heaven, who know him simply as Grandaddy. Ted is known to many others as the Appliance Doctor. Born in Martins Ferry, Ohio; Ted spent his youth in Ohio before joining the US Army in 1960 serving in Germany guarding checkpoints between East and West Berlin. After marrying his wife Colleen; they eventually found their way to Godley, Texas where they raised their family, eventually retired together and still reside. He endeared himself to others by selflessly giving his time and knowledge of repairing anything from dishwashers to pickup trucks. A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at Freedom Church 2005 McPherson Road Fort Worth, TX 76140 on November 10th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Ted’s name be given to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association at https://www.ecaware.org/give/donate. If you would still like to send flowers you may do so by sending to Freedom Church on 11/9.

Thank you for all that have done for me and my family Ted i always liked the talks we had after mowwing the church i am going to miss you my friend and thank you for service and will be praying for your family i will see when my times come bo more pain i will always remember you sir and thank you my deepest sympathies to the family.

  3. I met Ted as the Appliance Dr & went to church with his sweet wife Colleen many years ago. Ted was the sweetest , & most giving person. Many a time he would come & fix my things & not charge me or only charge for the parts. We would always have the best chats about life in general , family & such. He was a great friend to many. I will certainly miss his easy smile & genuine concern for people. God bless his family at this difficult time.

  4. I know that only the vood die young. Jesus to a vreat soul home to be with him. His sweet wife and his four levved douvhted I hope they vet comfort that they had a get man in thier life and now a sweet angel thats going to watch over you. Ted your missed and lovex forevdr. Chris

  5. My long time friend, i miss hearing your voice already. We spent many years talking appliance’s and life in general. Miss our times with Hugh and was proud to have introduced you to him. Gonna miss our get togethers, when i was in town. Thank you for your service, your friendship and your calling me your brother. Glad God brought us together, one last time. I will never forget you, Ted Pyles. You always called me bubba, with a smile. No pain in God’s Kingdom. Rest easy my friend.
