Our beloved Sharon left us too soon, passing away March 31, 2020, after battling a long illness. Born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1952, Sharon graduated Eastern Hills High School 50 years ago, class of 1970. Her long career consisted of serving several corporations as an accountant and payroll specialist. Upon her retirement to Meridian, Texas, one could rely on her for friendly and free tax preparations. Sharon could make anyone laugh and made a lovely home on a large acreage. Sharon is survived by her husband, Larry Betik of Meridian, her mother, Dolores Stubbs of Fort Worth and preceded in death by her father, Martin Stubbs. Her son, Jason Brice resides in Fort Worth and her son Justin Markworth lives outside Austin, as well as three sisters in Tarrant County, Deborah Cartwright, Leigh Holt, husband Robert and Janan Leaman, husband Steve. She had two step-children; Michelle Morgan, husband J.T. and Dwayne Betik, wife Alicia. She is also survived by nephews Zachary and Phil Leaman and grandchildren, Dylan and Kayla Markworth; Hannah Morgan and Carter Murrah; and Hayden Betik. There will be a celebration of life held on a date to be determined.
