Sharon Lee Hicks was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away on April 20th, 2023 with her daughters by her side.
Sharon was born on October 6th, 1949 in Neosho, Missouri, to Robert and Etta Belle Kelley. She attended Chickasha High School and participated on the cheerleading team, an activity she carried on throughout her life as she cheered for and supported her family members at countless sports games, graduations and major life events.
Sharon was a devout Christian woman and a member of Sharon Baptist Church where she sang for the choir, played the piano and served as the church secretary. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed singing along with the radio or a live band. In the evenings she liked to indulge in a Coke Zero with her favorite sweets while watching a Lifetime movie. Her passion was making the most beautiful flower arrangements for others, she took such pride in her work. Everyone who met Sharon will remember her for her glowing smile and joyful laugh that was infectious. Sharon would tell you that the greatest joy of her life was her family and grandchildren.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Etta Belle Kelley and sister, Cheryl Cramer. She is survived by daughters Shannon Munger and Stephanie Denson, her son-in-laws Adam Munger and Rafael Denson, her sisters Carron Gage and husband David, Connie Brown, Charlotte Alexander and husband Allen, and her brother Robert “Buddy” Kelley and wife Judy. Sharon leaves behind five adoring grandchildren – Talya McCallum and husband Nathan, Mariah Denson, Bailey Munger, Mackenzie Denson and Madison Denson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon will be missed immensely, and her family and friends will continue to cherish their beautiful memories with her.
