Randel (Randy) D. Bader,65, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on March 31st, 2013 in Granbury, Tx. Randy was born in Madill Oklahoma August 19, 1947, Randy traveled extensively in his lifetime living in Germany, California, Arizona, Georgia, and Virgina (and numerous other places), finally residing long term in Granbury, Texas since 1992. Randy was a shade tree philosopher, guitar enthusiast, motorcycle rider, obscure comedian, fisherman, and a history buff, as well as a caring husband, a devoted daddy, and a loving son. Randy worked in construction as a journeyman electrician for many years, as well as being a jack of all trades and (as he put it) a master of none. His favorite quotes included, “keep on keeping on”, “TCB – Take Care of Business”, “I just called to say I love you.” and “I will never turn down a free ride” ( this was a recent one that he said often, as one of us pushed him in his wheelchair). He passed peacefully with his wife by his side, as well as his mother, daughter, friends and caretakers close by, as he listened to his favorite music (turned up loud) — The Beatles, Al Green, CCR, John Lennon and Otis Redding just to name a few. Randy went out with dignity and style never letting go of his rock and roll spirit. Randy was proceeded in death by his brother Monty C. Bader, his biological father Bill Webb, and his adoptive father Richard (Dick) Bader. As well as his in-laws, and several nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy is survived by his wife (and soul-mate) of 37 years, Sheila Julian Bader of Granbury TX, daughter (the apple of his eye) Tina Bader and special friend Julie Vopat also of Granbury TX, his mother and step-father Vivian and Doyle Haugland of Denison TX, three sons Richard, Fletch, and Michael Espinoza of Arizona, a Half-sister Barbara and husband Dave Rollins of Wichita Ks., nieces Carly and Charly Bader of Denison TX, and Nephew Jim Bader of Walnut Springs TX, as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Randy was also an animal lover, and he will be missed by our “pack” of dogs, he always considered them a part of our little family. A Memorial will be held as a private family service, as were his wishes. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate cards, comments, memories and prayers, as well as making a donation to the church of your choice. Thank you to everyone for their on going support, and a special thank you to all of Randy’s special caretakers. There were days that we couldn’t have done it without you, your caring spirits and patient ways have been such a gift. Randy didn’t say goodbye he believed it sounded too final, he departed our world by saying, “adios, see ya later!”.
