Burleson — Pat Shipman, 53, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Woodgreen Animal Shelter (by credit card only) at www.woodgreen.org.uk or to ASPCA. Survivors: Husband of over 25 years Dwayne; Daughters, Dian, AZ, Lynsey, KS; Janine, CO; Kaicee, NM; A son Troy, NV; Daughter in Law Sarah, NV; Son in Law Dwight, CO and 9 Grandchildren.

words cant express how i feel right now ,my condolencesto you Dwayne and all your family pat was a great lady always a laugh ,Ill always remember our great camping trip to ute lake when the men had to be rescued and us girls waited on shore but I am so glad Pat and I reconnected last month on the phone we caught up and it was great.Im so sorry for your loss xx

I wish there were words that I could say or something that I could do to take the pain away. Your mum knew how much you loved her and she loved you. I first met Pat when our children began dating. I liked her from the very beginning. She was an incredible person, so loving and thoughtful of others. I was so pleased that she and Dwayne would be the in-laws for our daughter, Sarah. We both worked together to help Sarah move from New Mexcio to Wisconsin before she joined the Air Force and married Troy. The world has lost an amazing woman and is a sadder place without her. I send our most heartfelt sympathies to the family.

I first met Pat in Ipswich England about 26 yrs ago,and it was a time of our lives when friends were needed.I lost touch after she married Dwayne and even though i ran into them later on,i am the one who lost touch ,until i got an email from her Dec.20th 2010 !! We talked every other day for hours at a time and because of Pat and who she is she helped me find peace with some of my past that only she knew how to help with.I admired the relationship she and Dwayne have had,solid and wonderful.A devoted wife ,mother,grandma and friend.Always putting others first and never worring about herself.She always called and said “hey Reek,how are you my darlin ? ” I havnt talked to her for a while because ive been so busy..sorry Pat for not picking up my phone and returning your calls.Now i never can.Everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Pat will know already that they met a true Angel,and she will forever be etched in the hearts and memories of her husdand and children and her families and friends.My heart goes out to her family ,im so sorry you have lost this wonderful person.You are in my thoughts and prayers ..Pat..i love you darlin xx

I remember the first time I talked to your mum on the phone I could not stop smiling for the longest time afterwards because she had made me laugh so hard. I always looked forward to hearing “Helllooooo dahling!” whenever she would call. Eventually, as you know, it would take longer and longer before I would transfer her to you because I loved talking to her so much. Just like you she always checked on how work was going, how were my kids, and just how was I doing in general. And the teacup she gave me for Christmas is only used to drink tea as I promised her it would be. 🙂 Pat was an absolutely beautiful person inside and out and I will truly miss her! We love you and the kids Lynsey so if there is anything we can do or say to help please let us know.
