Oliver Jules Thomas was born on August 18,1968 to the parentage of Oliver F. Thomas and Ruby Thomas. Oliver was a young man that always had a smile on his face. He was a father and grandfather that loved his family above all. Oliver loved to cook and he was praised for his culinary delights. He desired to one day open up a Cheesecake Factory Franchise. Oliver was a part of the Nation of Islam where he was taught under the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. His Muslim name was Adib Shaheed which he carried with pride in being a black man. Oliver was a special young man in that he had a personality that drew people to him. One thing to be said for Oliver is that he was nice. That is something that can’t be said for many people in this world. He lived his life loving those around him and being kind to friends and strangers. Oliver was called from labor to reward on December 14-2023. His presence in our lives will be sorely missed. Yet we know our Lord makes no mistakes. As we pause to take this time to remember this son, brother, father, grandfather there is a void in our hearts as we experience the pain of his loss. As we look back on the life of this young man who it seems was taken too soon, we will remember the good times, the laughter, and just the joy of having him in our lives. Oliver leaves to mourn his passing, his father Oliver Thomas Jr his mother Ruby Thomas, one daughter, Olivia two grandsons, Damien, and Cairo, three brothers Saleem Shaheed, Omar Thomas, one sister Ameenah Atkins(husband Mike), one brother Carlis Thomas whom preceded him in death and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
