Olive Earline Long
FORT WORTH — Olive Earline Long, 70, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, surrounded by her family after a long battle with auto immune disorder. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Earline was born in 1942 in Dallas. Dispite her handicap, she lived independently in group homes in Abilene. In 2008 she moved to Crowley Nursing Home where she was known as “Ollie.” Ollie was a gentle, kind and compassionate person who had many friends in Abilene and at the nursing home where she lived. She enjoyed being around small children and adored her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olive and Hubert Long. Olive’s family would like to thank the staff at Crowley Nursing home for their care and concern while at their facility. Also, many thanks to the Huguley ER staff, Cynthia, and the second floor nursing team, especially Rebecca, Phillip, Rick, Kathleen and Huguley Hospice House for the care and concern given to her and our family during her final earthly journey. Survivors: Brothers, Bob and wife, Alyene Jordan, Clayton Jordan, Donald Jordan; and sister, Carolyn Edens and husband, Weldon.
