Nell F. Huggins of Burleson passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Big Spring. Nell worked for many years at Venus Elementary in Venus as a cook. She made many friends there. She was a reader and loved to cook for her family and friends, and loved being a homemaker. Nell was married to Harold Lerch for 28 years. They were married in January 1947. Harold and Nell lived in Pennsylvania for 23 years. While in Pennsylvania they had four children. Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Huggins, to whom she was married for 27 years; her parents; and a sister. Nell will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Survivors: Nell is survived by Harold; and her four children, Edwin Lerch of Oil City, Pa., Sheryl (Joe) Acker of Phoenix, Ariz., Kathy (Ralph) Jennings of Burleson, and Roger (Michelle) Lerch of Franklin, Pa. Nell is also survived by four grandchildren, Brian Smith, Amy Kelly, David Jennings and Adam Lerch; and eight great-grandchildren, Trenton, Tessa, Tatum and Tyson Kelly, Ava, Austin, Asher Smith and Adam Lerch Jr. In addition Nell is survived by seven siblings, Marilyn Ewell, Richard Hammond, Robert Hammond, Vivian Logan, David Hammond, Mark Hammond and Terri Moore. Nell is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home.
