  1. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Kay and I have been “online and phone” friends for several years. She was always encouraging me and motivating me in my online business. I will miss her wit and sage advice terribly. I loved her. Blessings to her family. -Martha

  2. I’m not certain this is the same Kay Ballard I came to know and love via the Internet, but I felt it was worth taking the chance and reaching out to you.
I was privileged to meet and play with Kay on Twitter. She subsequently asked me to be one of the co-hosts of her #Soiree #Hashtag parties which I happily accepted.
Boy am I glad I did too, I had many phone conversations with Kay and feel very deeply that she had become a friend and someone who understood me. We often talked about the uniqueness of our Internet friendships and how complicated yet simple they were. Kay touched many, many lives. I’m not certain you know the total impact she had on Twitter. It was almost as if we were family in a peculiar sort of way. I’d been away from the online world lately due to personal family circumstances but noticed the void immediately when I returned.
I am keenly aware of the loss of my dear Kay. Kay made me belly laugh and set me straight …in her straight forward, no beating around the bush way ….many, many times.
I will miss her very much and I’m so very sorry for your loss, I can only imagine how you are feeling. I will never forget Kay, I know there are many here in the Internet world that hold her in the same high regard and loved her as deeply as I do.
Please let me know if I can be supportive or of any help in any way.
    Blessings to you and yours,
    Respectfully,

    Jeri Hemerlein

  3. the wondrous Kay (@KayBallard)was a tweetheart and a simply amazing person who I treasured although never met in person. her spirit was and is a shining example of the goodness of humanity, with a wit, grace & humor that is almost impossible to fathom yet was uniquely her own. beyond our frequent twitter exchanges, she spoke with me on the phone on several occasions, giving generously of her time & ideas to help me formulate plans for my fledgling business. Whatever I do with it in the future I will always think of her and dedicate myself to getting her absolutely BRILLIANT concept of a “give up your purse Challenge!” executed some how, some way….with all my love & gratitude for her presence in my life —
I will miss her deeply yet treasure her wise council & friendship which will be with me always
