Myra Myrle Wood, 65, passed away Tuesday August 14, 2012 due to complications from heart surgery. Funeral: Noon Saturday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson; Visitation: 4-6 P.M. Friday at the Funeral Home. Myra was born June 21, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a devoted nurse, caring mother and grandmother and loved to fish. We will miss her but the fish will not! Myra is survived by her brother, Marion Lee Wood and wife, Amy; sister, Darlene Haddox and husband, Rondal; sister in law, Karen Wood; son, Jerry Harvey and wife, Hoa; daughters, Robbin Williams, Wendy Harvey and husband, Mitch Mitchell and Sandra Allen and husband Gregg; nephews, Garvis, Brian, Brian and Brian; neice, Chantal; grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Anna, Bethani, Gregg Jr., Brandi, Morris, Demarcus and Alex; 8 great grandchildren. Whew! I hope we didn’t miss anybody. Whoever Myra was to you, mom, grandma, sissie or friend…..She loved you.

I have enjoyed working with Myra for many years. I cherished those small chats we have during breaks . I am glad that Myra is resting now and is no longer suffering…but I do not like the thought of not seeing her again. I missed her and will never forget her. My condolences to the Family.

Myra was the sweetest soul.Her heart was enormous and her capacity for compassion was limitless.She was a shining light at work and will be sorely missed by all of us.
