  1. My biggest condolences to Mike’s family & to all of his loved ones.

There was NEVER a time that Mike didn’t approach me on a jobsite with that huge smile; I now carry that image for all my remaining days, & treasure it.

  2. We will miss Michael… Myself, the kids and our two dogs Samara and Finn. Michael was divine in his treatment to 4 legged creatures and they all knew he was ‘their person’. His love for happy dogs and well trained dogs could be seen in his actions the moment you met him. He helped my pups be more social & they loved coming over to stay at Uncle Michaels house when we left town… They were happier when they got home. from their stay there.

Though he was in my ‘industry’, I never had the please of working with him until recently. I was excited for him that he could return to his other love, being in Live Events.
Michael very much found something to be thankful for most days. His words made you realize that it’s easy to love people & dogs for who. they are, and to find the best in everyone.

Our most sincere condolences. We will take care of Kirby & Jacquelyn in the best way we know how – we owe that to his memory.

  3. My birthday buddy….
I remember the first time I met Michael. I was 19 and Dave Winberg took me. I remember being so scared of Cindy Sea Dog and falling in love with Bear and later, Scooby. I met so many dear people there during those Sofa Kingdom/Mitchell days. How did we survive it all? Tragic times, wonderful times. He was so good to us all and loved with a tremendous heart.
I will treasure memories of Krishna brunches, midnight ganders at fair park on the Mitchell roof, Sofa Kingdom sessions, the smell of tea tree and patchouli, Body Shop lip balm, riding shotgun in his BMW’s, road trips, meeting his precious grandmother and seeing where he grew up and meeting his mother, sister, niece and nephew.
Michael saw my worst and my best.
Jayme, I am praying for all of you. I hope you find comfort in all of our memories. Much love

  4. I knew Michael from the middle 70″s. He stayed at a friend’s house so he could attend high-school with us. He did not stay long in school, he found his own path and did his best. Michael had a soul that shind like the August sun at noon. He did have that smile, but his laugh was hilarious. I could tell about a thousand other stories, but in the end Michael did it his way. He is already missed….

  5. Our deepest condolences. Michael was such a nice guy and always was ready to work – which can be hard to find these days. Especially someone who doesn’t ever complain. It has been a couple of years since we worked together, but we kept in touch through Facebook and almost always talked about dogs. He will be greatly missed by a lot of people.

    1. Michael was always the guy you were happy to see on a show site. He would just get it done. It was later I discovered his talent with dogs. That raised him up to a new level for me. Can’t believe after all the struggles he had that he would be gone just like that. I will miss this man.

  6. I haven’t seen Michael in many years, but I have many fond memories from the Mitchell Building and Deep Ellum days. He was always so kind & caring, he looked after us “kids” like a big brother even though we’re not that far apart in age. I was so glad when we reconnected via Facebook and could catch up. I am so sorry for this loss. I will be keeping Michael’s family and friends, both old and new, in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. Michael was a dear friend of mine… He lived a few doors down and around the corner. I just found out about his death. Please contact me.

  8. Thinking about Michael today. My family knew him for such a short time, but he was like family. Every day I think of him as I work with my pups. Every time either of them break heel, I remind them that Uncle Michael is watching them so they better straighten up!
