Michael Alan Stern of Plano, Texas, passed Away 4/7/2024. Mike was born on 3/26/1961 in Huntington, NY to Mildred Inez Knapp Stern and Eugene Stern Survivors include; Father, Gene Stern, Sister and Brother-In-Law, Dianne M and Jerry D Howard, Sr, Sisters, Susan J Shapiro, her fiancé, Kevin Reed and Sandra L Stern. Nieces, Jennifer M Howard and husband Clinton L Michael. Millie Normand, Morgan Normand, Daphne Benedict. Nephews, Jerry D Howard, Jr and wife Ida H Howard, Preston D Howard and Lincoln C Howard. Plus, many cousins. Mike was a W. T. White graduate, Class of 1979. Mike earned his Associates Degree from Brookhaven College. Mike’s beloved career in fine dining spanned more than 40 years. He was passionate while in his element, proving professional, fun, exceptional service, outstanding food and wine. Mike worked at Steak N Ale, Ewald’s, Chamberlain’s, The Mercury, Del Frisco’s, Artin’s, The Silver Fox, Cadot French Restaurant, Perry’s Steakhouse, and Ruth Chris. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred I Stern, Step Mothers; Myrna Stadtman Stern and Carol Savage Stern, Brother-In-Law, Kim J Normand and Nephew, Lyle M Shapiro Mike will be missed and remembered by his twisted sense of humor, known fondly as the “family wise guy.” He was an avid fisherman and foodie. Mike was no stranger to the kitchen or grill. He spent many hours learning tips and tricks from some of the best chefs in town. Mike was well known for having the best homemade sauces for chicken, steak and seafood. You’re at peace now Mike and the fish are biting. You and your faithful Tetspa are together again.
