Marvin Howard Lantrip
Joshua, TX — Marvin Howard Lantrip, 77, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in Fort Worth. Military graveside: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the DFW National Cemetery. Marvin was born May 7, 1933 in Lonoke County, Arkansas to Coley Lantrip and Wilma Rachels Lantrip. He was raised on a cotton farm in 1952 he moved to Texas and met and married Janette Langford on February 20, 1953. Marvin led a full life, he served in the United States Army and on the Fort Worth Police Dept. He then went on to operate Acme Motor Company and eventually created JML Enterprises from which he retired in 2004. He was a member of the Tarrant Lodge #942 for which he received a 50 year pin earlier this year and was also a past member of the Moslah Shrine Mounties. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Marvin was a hard worker, a loving husband and father and he was respected by all who knew him. He will truly be missed. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janette , son Gary and wife De, son Mark and wife Eileen , daughter Jana Stateler and husband Bill, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and brother, John Lantrip and wife Patricia.
