Margaret was my friend and co-worker. I remember Margaret as a sweet , funny, clever sincere lady. We traveled together several times and had long conversations about her family, career, marriage, children, and life in general. I really enjoyed being with her. She made me laugh. There was nothing she couldn?t do and when she did something it was always first-rate.
Margaret, it was about a week ago that we were asking each other if anyone had spoken with you. But today, we know that you have gone home to meet your Lord.
About ten years ago, when Margaret was at a low point and in need of cheering up, I had an idea. I wanted to express my feelings in ways that I could not otherwise do, and bring her the cheer and distraction I thought she needed, So I went to the drawing board and started with her love of daisies and my love of sunflowers. I devised a cartoon character called ?Little Miss Pleasant? who always saw the bright side of any situation. She was never negative and never used any ?bad? words. I started to include her in my letters to Margaret and gradually began adding other characters. I called it ?Little Miss Pleasant and Friends? at first and eventually
We want you to know we have been thinking of you all and have you in our hearts and prayers. We have made a donation to the Hospice in tribute to your Mom and are honored to have the chance to remember her in this way.
Dear children, grandchildren, brother, sister, other family and friends
What a difference a few minutes in a day can make… Yesterday afternoon while I was at work, my sister, Sharon, call with the sad news of Margaret’s death.
Many years have passed since I last saw her but I was immediately seized by such a deep sense of loss.
