Lois Nichols
Lois Nichols, 76, of Crowley passed from her earthly home on March 22, 2014. Family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25th from 6 – 8 p.m. at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home at 12301 South Freeway, Fort Worth, TX.  Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26th at 10 a.m. also at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home.  Final resting place for Lois will be Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX. Pall bearers include:  John Pringle, Nick West, Clinton Nichols, Justin Nichols and Travis Nichols. She was born to the late Dewey Langston and Elsie Annie Macon of Jackson, Mississippi on December 6, 1937.  She is survived by her husband, Clifford Edward Nichols; they were married 61 years ago on October 17, 1952. Lois spent most of her work life baking in and managing school cafeterias.  She loved the children and loved providing nutritious meals for them.  She also spent many hours in her own kitchen baking and cooking for friends and family. Survivors: She is survived by her sister Grace Strack of Crowley, TX.  She is also survived by her children Steve Nichols and wife Darlene of Durant, Oklahoma; Craig Nichols and significant other Bobbi Storm of Kansas City, Kansas; Sharon West and husband Jack of Burleson, TX; and Marie Lawson and husband Butch of Fort Worth, TX.  She has 6 grandchildren, Brandy and Clinton of Oklahoma; Angela of Kansas; Nick, Kelli and Allison of Texas.  Her great grandchildren include:  Justin, Travis and Kaitlyn of Oklahoma; and Taybor, Maile and Logan of Texas.  She was predeceased by her sisters Ann Diamond of Minnesota and Mattie Pickle of Granbury, TX.  She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

    My heart goes out to you and your family on the loss of your mom. We can all say that we know the feelings you are having right now, but the loss of a parent is truly hard. My prayers are with you, Jack, Kelli,little Logan, and your dad as you go through the years without her. You have been truly blessed to have had her so long. God bless. Gail
