L.V. "Verdell" McClure
L.V. “Verdell” McClure passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015. Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at Bethesda Baptist Church. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2010. He was born July 15, 1931, in Panola County to Dennis and Ella McClure. Verdell had various businesses with the last being a thrift shop in old town Burleson. He was predeceased by parents; first wife, Wandean McClure; sisters, Marie Prince and Odessa Cook. Survivors: Wife, Lynda McClure; son, Danny Ray McClure and wife, Rachel; stepdaughters, Terri Bennett and Richard, Toni Cook and Mike, Tracy Jakob and Mike; stepson, Bob Douglas Jr.; sisters, Mary Uhlhorn and Gloria Roberson; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
