  1. My Dearest Joe,

With you, I was always reminded of the Shakespearean quote, ‘love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind.’ Indeed, your love was immeasurable. Your smile brightened rooms much further than the one in which you stood. Your laughter reverberated larger areas than the eye could see. I still see that spectacular smile and hear that contagious laughter. Somehow I believe your voracious reading took your love of cooking to an entirely different level! Remember our 2016 New Year’s Eve? We drove to Charlotte and adopted a kitty. She fell very ill two months later and had it not been for you, my love, she wouldn’t be here with me now – our beautiful PepperLove. Again, your love was immeasurable.

No matter the hard times you fell upon, you always managed to help someone that was having a harder time than yourself. I always told you that was an absolute true testament to your love of all things; you loved God and all things of God.

My sweet Joe, Only you could take off the mask and see straight into my heart. You eased my worries and washed my cares away. You accepted me as is. You often picked me up and stood me firmly in place. You saw beyond my weaknesses and you gently wiped my tears away. You were my loudest ‘cheerleader.’ Time was too short. My noisy world is now deafening quite. So, until I see you again, this time on the bright side of the moon, I forever treasure all the time we had together. You are the one I truly love. I simply love you.

My thoughts and prayers are with Joe’s family and friends. He loved each and every one of you and was grateful for all you gave. May God bless each of you going forward.
