Services for Juanita Leigh Petton, 89, formerly of Mesquite, Texas, are scheduled for 3 pm, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Mayfield-Kiser Funeral Home, Burleson, TX, with her son, Dr. Larry Petton, officiating. Burial will be at 5 pm at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX., visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Mrs. Petton died on Good Friday, April 22, 2011, in Tyler, TX. She was born April 3, 1922, in Yantis, TX, to George and Fannie Leigh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clarence L. Petton. She is survived by her daughter, LaJuana Christian and husband, Travis of Whitehouse, TX; her son, David Petton and wife, Peggy of Burleson, TX; and son, Dr. Larry Petton and wife, Rosanne of Springdale, AR; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandsons.

BLess you all in this time..Celebrating her life will be so easy for you..She was a wonderful christian woman, and we know she is in the very presence of our Lord. Reflecting on your memories of her will be so sweet..I was thinking her and my Dad and Phyllis’s Mom and Dad are probably singing “Oh What a Saviour”..Praising him all the day long. Praying for you..
I am sorry to hear about your loss. God has promised a time very soon when mourning and outcry and pain will be no more. The former things will have passed away. (Rev 21:4) and the hour is coming, in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus’ voice and come out. (John 5:28,29) I hope these promises comfort you.
