Joshua Harold Kennemer was born in Burleson, TX on September 14, 1988 to Shirley Jean and Freddie Mac Kennemer of Fort Worth, TX.
Josh grew up in Alvarado, TX where he attended Alvarado ISD for a majority of his school career. Josh was known for never meeting a stranger, always finding something to do outside, and spending countless weekends with his Grannie, PawPaw, Uncles, Aunts, and cousins.
Josh was a hard worker and enjoyed being creative. He was also always unapologetically himself and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He dabbled in drawing, tattooing, tree trimming, welding, and eventually made his own home remodeling company in 2021.
In 2013, Josh married his wife Jessica Kennemer and welcomed their daughter, Madalyn in Mansfield, TX. In 2016, they welcomed their son, Colton Ray in Alvarado, TX. Josh’s hobbies included being at the family property with his children, hunting, fishing, playing video games, getting marker tattoos from Colton, taking anyone’s kid on the four-wheeler, and more recently, riding his uncle Stanley’s Harley wherever he could go with Madalyn in tow. One of his favorite hobbies was experimenting with new recipes on the smoker and inviting everyone over to eat, drink, and enjoy each others company.
On March 5, 2023, Josh’s life was heartbreakingly cut short. And even though all his family and friends were grieving, he still found a way to help someone in need by donating his organs and became a true hero.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Kennemer; Children Madalyn and Colton Kennemer; Parents Shirley Wells and Freddie Kennemer; Brother Aaron Wells; Aunts Debra Allen (David), and Kerry Jackson (Scott); Uncles Raymond Hodges and Darrel Kennemer (Becky); along with many cousins, extended family, and friends.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Avenue L Baptist Church, 3500 Avenue L Fort Worth, Texas 76105 at 2 pm in Fort Worth, TX followed by a celebration of life at Jessica Kennemer’s home.
Cremation arrangements by Lone Star Cremation.
