Joseph Donald Drerup
FORT WORTH — Joseph Donald Drerup, 79, passed away on Wednesday October 2, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Fort Worth. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry or Meals on Wheels. Don was born on June 18, 1934 to Arthur and Colatta Drerup. He attended high school in Portageville, MO and college at South West MO State. Don served in the United States Army. He retired from Dillards after ten years of service. Don loved being outdoors and working in his yard. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dick and sister in law, Betty. Survivors: wife, Ann; 3 sons, stepchildren, Lisa, Gary and Ted Farmer; sisters, Diane Ground and Dottie Summers; 1 grand daughter; step granddaughters, Julia, Miranda and Ella Farmer; numerous nieces and nephews.

  7. Don, Joe McCrate and I were the only 3 to graduate from Portageville High School in 1947 or 1948. Don and I were the marble champions of St Eustachius School, cleaning everyone of their marbles before the season was over. He was better than I was, but I never let him know it. We called him the Dutchman.
