Burleson TX – Jimmy Dean Barnett was called to be with the Lord on October 3, 2020 at home with family at his side. Jimmy was survived by his wife of 33 years Sandy, his children Jana (Mike) Garner, Jonathan (Theresa) Barnett, Jimmy (Amy) Barnett, Oliver John Barnett, and Brent (Katy) Barnett, his sisters and brothers Cookie Hill, Tommy Barnett, Rita Thompson, Katy (Bobby Smith) Barnett, Varner Barnett, Ricky Barnett, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Essie and Nora Barnett and sister, Diane Carter. Jimmy was a longtime truck driver who loved to be in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and tinkering. Jimmy was loved by everyone and loved everyone in return. A celebration of his life will be held at Jimmy and Sandy’s home in Burleson on Saturday October 10, 2020 between 2:00pm and 5:00pm.

I will always remember Jim Bob. He took me in as one of his when I joined the Vandewater family, even throughout the craziness. I will always be thankful of him. I loved playing dominos with him & hearing him make jokes with everybody. Love you Jimmy. JJ & I will forever miss you.
