James R. Reese Sr.
BURLESON — James R. Reese, Sr. 66, passed away on Monday May 28, 2012 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. James was born in Fort Worth on July 17, 1945 to Michael J. Reese Sr. and Elizabeth Foster Reese. He attended Tarrant County College and the University of Texas at Austin. James served his country in the United States Air Force. In 1964 he married Benita Crooks and together they had two children. He spent the bulk of his career in appliance sales and distribution. James was a loving, caring and giving husband and father,  a man whose family and friends could and did depend on for help and advice in any situation. He always had a listening ear for everyone. James was loyal and had a great and sometimes mischievous sense of humor. He will be missed by many for a long time and loved forever. James is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Michael J. Reese Jr. and sisters, Theresa Reese and Ann Thurman. Survivors: his wife of 47 years, Benita; daughter, Cynthia Reese; son, James R. Reese, Jr.; brother, Thomas W. Reese and wife Madeline; sister, Mary Lenora Holtkamp and husband Leo; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

    hearts will not allow us to accept this tragedy.
    Jimmy was my best friend since the third grade. We
    shared so much of our lives for so many years.
    I know how hurt and shocked all of you must
    be. I share your grief and your loss. You have our
    most sincere prayers and uplifting thoughts during this time of unbearable sadness.
