It is truely hard for me to say anything more than what I said at the funeral. Jackie I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! You were the glue that held our family together. I promise you one thing, I will always be there for Jodi, whom I have always loved dearly. I will always be there for her. While I can in no way be there for her the way you were, I will do my best to help her in every way I can.

Go in peace dear sister of mine, I will mourn your passing every day of my life.

  5. JACKIE IT WAS A PLEASURE HAVING YOU IN THE FAMILY. WE LOVED YOU VERY MUCH. I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE THE TIMES WE SANG TOGETHER. WE ALL LOVED HEARING YOUR PLAY THE PIANO. 6. I want to thank everyone who has taken time to pay tribute to my mother. She was so beautiful and filled the hearts of those she knew with her warm spirit and love. I miss her so much already. I can’t comprehend how I will get through the days ahead of me but she taught me how to be strong, how to land on my feet, and she showed me the importance of family. In the past few days I’ve realized just how precious my family is to me and I know that they will be there for me to lean on. I love you Mom- more than words can ever say. Rest in Peace.

    Love Always,

    Jodi

  7. May you finally know freedom from pain, my dear friend. May your family know peace and understand that the legacy of love you left behind will pass from generation to generation until the end of time. Our friendship was a blessing to us both and I know I will see you again Jackie.

    Love,

    Pam

  8. You brought beautiful music into this world with your musical gift your grace and your style. Even though your gone now your music will play on through those you taught to caress and hug the piano with the affection that only you could bring. Every time Melissa plays the piano we will think of you. We will miss you tremendously and comfort that you are no longer in pain.

  9. Jackie was a wonderful piano teacher that i loved very much. I will miss her so much. Nobody will forget her!

  10. Although I am not fortunate enough to have met Jackie, I wanted to take a moment and to voice my love and support to Jim Kauhs and his entire family, especially Jodi.

  11. Jackie was one of my dearest friends. We sang while she played the piano and oh how she could play the piano! One of my fondest memories of Jackie was when I got my first convertible. We wanted to drive with the top down but it was winter time. So, being the crazy teens we were, we put the top down and with fur collared dress coats buttoned around our necks, we flew down the freeway to Alvarado. What a time! How I will miss her even though our paths parted as we went on to our married lives, it was like time stood still when we saw each other even after years of separation. Jackie was a special person and so talented. She will be missed but my confidence is that we will meet again; soon. Goodbye for now my sweet friend,

    Brenda Haley Smothermon

  13. Nanny, you were and are my hero in so many ways. You were so strong and loving and always there for me. You were so vibrant and shined many colors.

  14. Romans 8:28, 38-39

God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose…..neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights, nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jackie was a talented person full of God’s love and I know we will get to spend eternity with her. Our prayers are with you all.

  15. Jackie, I will always hold and honor your memory and all the beautiful love you gave to me and Kayla.
