Harry Yates Noble Jr.
BURLESON — Harry Yates Noble Jr. 83, passed away on Thursday July 11, 2013 at home with his wife and family. Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Monday at Crestmont Baptist Church. Visitation: 3-5 P.M. Sunday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Interment: 12:30 P.M. Monday at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Harry grew up in N.E. Louisiana and S.E. Arkansas. He graduated from LSU with a degree in agriculture. Harry then joined the Army and was a M.P. during the occupation of Germany after WWII. He traveled for John Deere and married the love of his life, Jean Smith in 1957. After the death of their second child, he surrendered to the ministry and made his life work teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He served as pastor in New Orleans, Parkdale, Poyner, Camden, Tyler, Bullard and Texarkana. Harry was forced into retiremen for health purposes but never forgot his calling to ministering to others. Our hearts are broken here but know he has received the Crown of Life and has been welcomed as a “good and faithful servant”. Survivors: wife of 56 years, Jean; daughters, Robin Harris and husband, Herb and Zoe Dozier and husband, Gary; son, Harry Noble III and wife, Nita; brother, Gayle Noble and wife, Marylee; sister, Imie Carpenter; grandsons, Joshua Noble and Chad Dozier and wife, Evelyn;

  1. Jean and Family, Please know that you have our very deepest, heartfelt condolences as we say “good bye” (for a while) to a true Man of God. I count it a joy to have gotten to know Brother Harry, albeit too briefly, and to have gotten to hear him preach at Parkdale Baptist Church during our annual Homecoming Celebration several years ago. You are both deeply loved and missed at the “biggest little church in the Delta” and as Flora and I soon conclude our 10th year of service there, I’ve always felt your presence.

    May the Lord grant the Noble family a peace that truly surpasseth all understanding.

  19. We only just found out today (Tues.)about Harry Jrs. going home to be with our Lord. We read the obituary in The Ashley County Ledger. So many wonderful family memories of growing up in the Noble family with him and all our relatives. What a privilege to have a Christian family heritage. I know that all the family in Heaven is rejoicing to see him there. (Including my parents Woodrow and Erma Brooks Noble. Heartfelt sympathy and prayers for peace and comfort through Jesus Christ. Love to all. Linda
