Guy Doake
Decatur, Tx.- Guy Thomas Doake took his eternal fishing trip on Monday April 22nd, 2024. Born on January 11th, 1966 in Lawton, Ok. Preceded in death by his mother Connie Pearl “Martin” Doake (2019), father Garland “Tommy” Thomas Doake (2023), and grandson Tommy Roy Beavers (2023). Guy is survived by his 3 children Thomas Doake & and wife Savannah, Allison Doake & Bud Beavers, and CheyAnne Doake & Riley Wright. Grandchildren: Colton, Hagen, Grant, Cooper, Baylee, Hazel, Kai, Kyler, Brayden, Katey, and Donny. Siblings: Jessie Doake & wife Lisa, David Doake & wife Gretchen, Charlie Patrick and Lonnie, and Gayle Keck & Lee. Nieces and Nephews: Keith, Sarah, Samantha, Matthew, Katie, Christian, Jordan, Tommy, Josh, Julie, Catherine, Kimberly, Amy, and Phillip. And many great nieces and nephews. Guy was primarily raised in Oklahoma with a stay in Louisiana, of which he said was a ton of fun, Walters was where he grew up and around that area. He landed in Ratliff city where he started his family and career as a truck driver, over the road for some time traveling the country and loved every minute of it. Always behind the semi truck is where he loved working, but his true love was in the time that he spent with his family and friends. Most of that time was spent on a creek bed grabbing some catfish. He taught countless people the art of noodling and loved to do it anytime he had the chance. His 1st purpose in life was the family he grew up with and the family he created, but his 2nd purpose was being an amazing “Pop Pops” and a protector of people he loved. He will be so very missed but never forgotten. Roll on truck driver. To pay our respect to this man we will be gathering at Ratliff City Baptist Church on May 11th, 2024 at 12:30 for some good company and food. Then we will have graveside services at Sandy Bear Cemetery. Any arrangements/flowers you wish to send may be sent to Ratliff city Baptist Church 234 Church St. Ratliff City, Ok 73481.
