Gloria R. Pardue ,82, of Ft.Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2011. When Gloria passed she had her luggage packed to make the annual, family beach trip to South Padre Island, which was one of her favorite pastimes. She will be missed by her family, her fellowship and friends from Alta Mesa Church of Christ and her companions at the W.H. Grove Home. Gloria is survived by her three Grandsons Thomas,Travis and Tyler Pardue of Austin,TX. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Bill Pardue, her sons Alan and Charles Pardue and her brother Donald Rowell.

  1. Gloria was a wonderful mother in law. She always had positive things to say in her lovely Southern accent. And as her grandson Thomas reminded me, when a bad situation arose she would say, “Lets’think about that tomorrow Scarlet…” Thank you to Judy and the people at the Grove Home. She always would say..”I love my friends at the Grove Home.”

  2. Gloria was a high school classmate in Selma, Alabama. We graduated in 1947 and went our separate ways. However, I went to school with her from grade 1 on and thought of her a s abeautiful, fine friend. She married Willie Pardue, one of my Auburn KA fraternity brothers. I know the family will miss this lovely person. I encourage the grandchildren to get in touch.
