He joined the Navy right out of high school and spent the next 20 years traveling the world. He was married to Sharon A. Lennon in 1974, together they had 3 beautiful children; David, Erin, and Ruth. He retired from the United States Navy in 1985 and moved his family to Washington State. There he was involved in the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis Club, and a part of the Chapter B Gold Wing Riders Association. He loved riding with his friends. George was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Post in 1996. He then remarried in 2000 to Linda J. Twohig and gained a bonus son, Chad, whom he loved. He later moved to Texas to follow his daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. Throughout his life, George touched the hearts of everyone he met with his unwavering compassion, wisdom, and generosity. He loved playing Santa at the Kitsap Mall in Silverdale, WA. He often times played Santa in real life, helping others in need. Whether through his dedicated service to various charitable causes, his inspiring leadership in Knights of Columbus, serving in the Kiwanis club or simply through his warm smile and encouraging words, he made a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. In his memory, let us strive to carry forward his legacy of love, empathy, and generosity. George T.
