George L. Goff
Cleburne–Funeral services for George L. Goff, 87, of Cleburne, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 12, 2004 at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, of Cleburne, with Dr. James Finley officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home. George L. Goff, a retired welder for the Santa Fe Railroad for thirty-seven years, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at his residence in Cleburne. He was born in Hill County, Texas, April 3, 1917, the son of Alonzo and Maude Goff. He married Frances Robinson June 1, 1940, in Cleburne. They have lived in Cleburne all their married life. He served in the South Pacific, as a sergeant, in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason and for more than fifty years a member of Cleburne Lodge #315. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
