Gary Lyle Tompkins, a resident of Arlington, TX, passed away from complications of COPD Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 4:25pm, surrounded by loved ones. Visitation Information: Friday February 3rd, 2:30pm-4:30pm at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home, 12301 South Freeway, Burleson, TX 76028. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations benefiting local charities in Arlington, TX: Arlington Moose Lodge #1932 In Memory of Gary Tompkins 3210 Pleasant Valley Lane Arlington, TX 76015 Gary was born July 28, 1943 in Savanna, IL. He lived the early part of his life in Rock Falls, IL and was a member of the Carpenters Union. He moved to Arlington, Texas where he was employed by the City of Arlington until his retirement and was also a member of Arlington Moose Lodge. Gary enjoyed watching sports and dabbled in carpentry work. He loved calling and playing Bingo. Preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Ardis Tompkins, one grandson, and his love, Rose Ann Bryant. Survivors include his son Ed (Robin Eikenbery) Tompkins, his daughter Pam (Dennis) Coil, stepdaughter Whitney (Greg) Bryner…..grandchildren, Michael, Gary Lee and Ashleigh Tompkins, Jennifer (Reese) Wallace, Matthew (Ferrell) Cain; Cheyanne Bryant, Channing and Cayden Bryner; brothers, Kevin (Pat) Tompkins and Keith (Tammy) Tompkins; Sisters, Cam (Weldon) Otten, Linda (Robert) Rohde; 5 great grand children, several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
