Frank Richard Leins
Frank Richard Leins, 85, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Thursday October 13, 2011. Frank was born on July 19, 1926 in Brazil, Indiana, son of the late August and Nellie Adams Leins. He dutifully served his country as an aircraft mechanic in the Navy during World War II. Frank later was employed as an electronics engineer at Raytheon and then as a television engineer along the Gulf coast during television’s infancy. For a time, Frank enjoyed a self-employed career with his own company, Microtex, in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. In Fort Smith, Arkansas he worked for Gould Battery and Norton Alcoa. Frank was also a Freemason, something he considered an honor. He is survived by his sister Claudia J. Miller, of Orange, California; sons Mark Leins, of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Larry Leins, of Batesville, Mississippi; daughters-in-law Terri Smith-Leins, of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Linda Leins, of Burleson, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma Faye Hester Leins; oldest son Michael Richard Leins; brothers Jim and John and sisters Rosemary, Louise, Josephine and Nellie. Frank will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee next to his wife, Norma. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
