  1. So sorry to hear of Uncle Emmett’s passing. I know my mother Louise Gimple dearly loved her brother and your family, and I have fond memories of visits down south in my childhood.

  2. Aunt Juanita & Family,
We were so sad to hear about Uncle Bud. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Wish we could be there with you all.

  3. Was very sorry to hear about Uncle Bud’s passing. It’s too bad the complications led to an earlier death, although having going through Alzheimer’s (Dementia) with my mom and seeing her suffer for so long in the late stages, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. It’s devestating. But our thoughts are with the family. Sure wish dad could have seen him one last time in ’08. Boy our family is sure plagued with diabetes as well as heart disease (among other things).

  4. This is very late and I don’t know if anyone will ever read it, but that does not change my thoughts about Emmett. Of all the people I have known, and I am now 80, he was one of the kindest, friendliest, and most helpful people in my life. We knew each other only a short time and lost touch after I moved out of state, but he is remembered, honored, and missed. I’m sure he’s in heaven telling God how to fix the hinges on the Golden Gate.
