Elenor Janie Bielefeld
FORT WORTH — Eleanor Jane Bielefeld, or Janie as she was called by everyone, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 16, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer diagnosed in 2006. Service: At her request, there will not be a burial; she chose cremation. Memorials: Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Western Hill United Methodist Church. Janie was born in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Feb. 12, 1935. She grew up in San Antonio, where she and John went to the same high school. They attended North Texas State together and she received her B.S. and subsequently her master’s Degree in education. Janie and John were married on her birthday in 1955 and have lived in Fort Worth ever since. She taught elementary school for 30 years for the Fort Worth Independent School District and touched the lives of over 1,000 children and co-workers. Janie was a wonderful, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She welcomed family and friends into her home and cared for them with a smile, always with a positive attitude. Janie especially loved children and babies. She could not resist stopping every baby she came in contact with and interact until the baby smiled or laughed. The mothers would always beam with pride. At the end of her 76 years, her husband praises her and treasures the 56 years they had together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurville B. and Margret O. Hamill. Survivors: Husband, Ewald John; sons, Richard and Ronald; granddaughters, Lindsey and Miranda; great-granddaughter, Layla Blaze; sister, Bonnie Embrey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
