Drew Wilson Fisher
Cleburne:Drew Wilson Fisher, 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2004, in Cleburne, Texas. Funeral services for Mr. Fisher will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, at the Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, of Cleburne. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield. Drew Wilson Fisher was born on August 2, 1916, the son of Leonard Oscar and Myrtle Jo Fisher. He was from a large family having three brothers and three sisters. He married Jo Frances Walker on January 12, 1935. They were married for 68 years before she passed away in October of 2002. He was one of the oldest living members of Central Church of Christ. For many years he was at the church door every Sunday Morning to greet everyone with a hardy handshake and a smile and was available on the weekends to make sure the building and grounds were ready for service. Drew was preceded in death by his first born son, Jimmy Earl Fisher in 1943 and his wife, Jo Fisher in 2002. He is survived by one son, Ron Fisher and wife, Sharon, of Granbury; daughter, Carolyn Blackmon and husband, John, of Crowley; granddaughter Christi Florey and husband, Jason, of Austin; grandson, Jeff Blackmon and wife, Nicole and their daughter, Briley, of Midlothian; granddaughter, Kameron Craft and husband, Hunter and their daughters, Carson and Campbell, of Houston; grandson, Jason Fisher, of Houston; sister, Joyce Wesley and husband, James, of Burleson; many nieces, nephews, a wonderful church family and a loving, caring staff at The Home Place. Memorials may be made to Christ Haven, Central Church of Christ or a Charity of Choice.

  1. I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Drew. I have such wonderful memories of growing up and going to Uncle Drew and Aunt Frances house. I remember thinking how cool it was Carolyn had her own private door to her room. I adored Ronnie and idolized Carolyn. I miss you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
