Douglas Bolt
Douglas Lee Bolt was born November1 3, 1937 in Brownwood, Texas and attended Early Elementary. He moved to Mansfield in 1951 and attended Mansfield High School and Handley High School. He joined the Navy in 1955, was stationed in Alameda California, and served on the USS Shangri-La. After completing his Navy Service, he settled in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked for Sears as a Sales Person. He was a talented Salesman and moved to Fort Worth in 1982 where he transferred his talents to Auto Sales where he continued until his retirement. He enjoyed retirement that brought him time to enjoy his passions fishing, hunting and socializing with friends and family. His charm and outgoing personality brought him many close friends whom he loved as brothers. Douglas passed on to his Maker on October 6 ,2011 at the VA Hospital in Dallas of COPD. He is survived by his wife Gina(Hart)Bolt, of Burleson TX, his daughter Cathy and Husband Danny Whittington, of Arlington, TX, his stepson Jeff and wife Laura Nabors, and stepdaughter, Sherry Williams, of BurlesonTX. He is survived by his close loving family of his Mother Geneva Bolt, 94, of Fort Worth,TX, two sisters, Jackie Rennels of Fountain Hills, AZ, Jerry Kay and Husband Tommy Weeks of Arlington, TX., Brothers, Dennis Bolt of Tracy, CA, Darrell Bolt of Eagle Nest, NM, and Danny and wife Camilla Bolt of Grand Prairie, TX. He has two grandsons Glen and Matthew Johnston, of Arlington, TX He also has step grandchildren, Hunter Nabors, of Arlington, TX, Brett Williams of Houston TX, and Brittany Williams, Ashley, Britteney, and Destiny Mahaffee of Fort Worth, TX. Great Step Grandchildren, Braxton and Brooklyn Williams, and Thomas Rodriguez whom were all very dear to him. There are numerous nieces and nephews and many cousins whom he brought into his close family unit. He will be missed for his loving nature and his fun ways that has brought each of us much love and  joy through out his life. Douglas will be honored with a Military Service at DFW National Memorial Park Friday, October 21, 211 at 1:00 PM. The Service will be officiated by the US Navy. The Service will be conducted by Jerry Bailey, Chaplain of Sons Of American Legion 6th District of Texas. The Eulogy will be presented by Jim Thornhill, Retired Chaplain of the American Legion and Close Friend.
