Cleburne:Funeral services for Cipriano Sapien, Sr. 92, of Cleburne, will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 2:00 PM, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, of Cleburne, Texas. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield. Cipriano Sapien, Sr. a retired barber, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2004 in Cleburne. He was born September 16, 1911 in Fredericksburg, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Francisca Sapien; five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by daughters, Rose Hernandez, Yolanda Herrada, Dolores Sapien and Sonia S. Garcia and husband, Luis; sons, Cipriano Sapien, Jr. and wife, Rosa, Benjamin Sapien and wife, Vivian and Yldifonso ?Moses? Sapien and wife Rene; twenty grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Well grandpa, the day has come. I knew that it would be one of the hardest ones in my life but i know that it was a day that you kept saying you wanted to come. Even though you wanted it to come it didnt make it easier for us to let you go, but we have to. In you last hours you fought like the stong man we all know you are. I will always remember the good times we had together. All the walks to Weavers Drug, all the candy and sodas you bought me, and especially watching cartoons together and reading the paper, even though i couldn’t read yet, i thought i could, and you didnt tell me otherwise.
