Carl Wayne Smith Sr., 87, of Cleburne, Texas passed from this life Wednesday December 9, 2020 in Crowley, Texas. Carl was a hard worker and a loving father, he will be missed by all that knew him. Survivors: son, Cody William Smith Sr. & wife Stacy, son, Carl Wayne “Buddy” Smith Jr., daughter Kim Westbrook. Grandkids: Cody William Smith Jr., Colton Smith, Madison Bayer, Dalton Smith, Sarrah Smith, Joshua Jordan, Jerrod Jordan, and, Justin Jordan. He is also survived by several great-granchildern. Carl is preceded in death by his wife; Nedra Kaye Smith, son Steven Smith, three sisters, and his parents W.J. and Ruby Smith. Carl was a very special man. Ronny looked up to him as a father figure and I just adored him. After we moved here to Iowa, Ronny and Carl would talk on the phone every day. Now they are both in Heaven and I can just picture them looking down and trying to solve the world’s problems. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I miss Carl already.
