  1. Bob was truly “Wonderful Bob”. We had so many memorable times with Bob for more than 5 decades. Our love and condolences to Mary and all the family.

  2. My life is better because I knew Wonderful Bob and his family. Deepest sympathies to Mary, Carla & Deb.

  3. Bob was my friend, my brother in Christ. Bob was funny, he was hospitable. Bob made the best fruitcake ever! Bob made you feel you were his best buddy. He loved children and always had a trick up his sleeve. I am so thankful Paul and I spent time with him last February in Texas. He will be missed. He truly was our wonderful Bob!

  4. Uncle Bob…those two words, this man, my uncle, accompanies so many memories… our annual family fishing trips, climbing the mulberry tree in Cahokia, watching The Wizard of Oz for the first time IN COLOR, the year we got “rich” in $1 bills at the strawberry farm, the farm celebration dinner on the dinner boat downtown St. Louis, all the adventures at Thompson farm, New Years Eve Parties, sledding on killer hill, grape hill, the strawberry farm, many many years of Fourth of July celebrations with the family. I could go on and on… We are so blessed to have a family filled with love, fun, adventure and support. We are all indebted for this invaluable legacy built and nurtured by the Thompson men. My heart aches for the loss and pain felt by so many at his passing, but rejoices in the knowledge that our Lord has guaranteed, through His sacrifice, that we will all be united again for eternity. Until we meet again….
