ALVIS DUANE HOWELL — June 13,1942 – Sept. 23, 2022.  Alvis Duane Howell passed away on Sept. 23, 2022, in Arlington, Texas at the age of 80. He left this world peacefully. He was born June 13, 1942 to Dock Martin Howell & Lena Mae (McGuire) Howell in O’Donnell, Tx. He married Dorothy Southard and they had 3 sons Bryan Howell, Rick Howell and Lance Howell. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Bryan Keith Howell 2 brothers Henry Wade Howell, Donald Joe Howell 3 sisters Lula Francis (Howell) Owens, Opal Lee (Howell) Smith, Verbie Gean Howell. Alvis spent his life working in the Oilfield Industry In Odessa, Texas, and Anchorage Alaska where he was a manager for Dresser Atlas. After retiring to Spokane, Washington he enjoyed the outdoors and panning for gold in the beautiful Washington rivers. Alvis is survived by his wife of 61 years Dorothy Evelyn (Southard) Howell, his sons Richard Lee “Ricky” Howell of Palm Springs, California and Lance Wade Howell (Nikki) of Arlington, Tx, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by 2 sisters Lavada Flood of Odessa Texas, Linda Crutcher of Hobbs, New Mexico and 1 brother Martin Howell of Oklahoma city. Plus many nieces , nephews and friends. There will be no service.  Cremation arrangements entrusted to Lone Star Cremation.
