William M. Brown
William M. Brown was born on November 18, 1952 in San Antonio, TX. William was the only child born to the union between Willie Brown and Mildredge Watson Brown. Early on, William realized that true happiness was only attainable if he had Jehovah in his life. With love in his heart, William dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized on June 24, 1967. After baptism, William found joy in his service to Jehovah by participating in Kingdom construction projects and serving as a Ministerial Servant and Elder in the congregation. In 1992, William met the love of his life, Helen Thierry, and they were married on April 24, 1993. William and Helen’s relationship was founded on their love for Jehovah. Throughout their marriage, they had the privilege to serve in various congregations in San Antonio, Grand Prairie, Arlington, and Dallas. William and Helen had a strong marriage because they both understood that their love for Jehovah was paramount and they could put their trust in him. As a husband and father, William focused on serving as a spiritual example for his family. He strived to teach his family the importance of having a strong relationship with Jehovah and having an active share in the ministry. William’s children have fond memories of joining him in the ministry and hearing his famous words, “Let’s do one more street” regardless of the Texas heat. In time, William had the privilege of serving as the Service Overseer in the congregation. As a Service Overseer, William cherished his time in the ministry with the friends and was able to organize preaching campaigns for the hard of hearing, special events, and cart witnessing. These special preaching assignments brought William great joy because he understood the importance of the commission at Matthew 28:19, 20. One of William’s greatest joys was becoming a Grandparent. As a Grandfather, William spent time playing with his grandchildren and teaching them about Jehovah. William loved watching his grandchildren progress in Jehovah’s organization. From first comments, talks, becoming publishers, and baptism, William was always front and center for his grandchildren and he was willing to let everyone know that he was a proud grandfather. As a spiritual man, even to the end, William was focused on his family’s relationship with Jehovah, and he made it clear that he wanted to see his entire family in paradise. William found comfort in the promises at Isaiah 33:24 and Revelation 21: 4, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” William is preceded in death by his parents Willie Brown and Mildredge Watson Brown. William leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Helen Brown; daughter, Lenise Ross (Michael); son, Gavin Brown (Briana); daughter, G’Nesica Smith; grandchildren, Jordan Ross, Nolan Brown, Justin Ross, Royce Brown, Brooklyn Smith, Zayden Shaw, Jaxon Ross; brother-in-law, Henry Cleveland (Katherine); sister-in-law, Evelyn Frank, and a host of other loving relatives and friends
