Mr. Pate was my Principle at Petronila from 1967-71 He was very well respected and truly loved by us all. He was very caring and devoted to us kids especially those of us from Coastal Bend Youth City in Driscoll. And yes he could swing a mean paddle when he had to. He will truly be missed.
