BURLESON — Wanda Kay Morris, 70, a homemaker and retired teacher, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at her home. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Wanda Kay Mayfield Morris was born June 6, 1940, to Virgil Samuel Mayfield and Ima Gene Winsor Mayfield in Dodge City, Kan. She married Jerry Morris on Dec. 17, 1960, in Dodge City and they had four sons. Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Mayfield; mother, Ima Gene; one son, Kevin; and brother, Larry Mayfield. Survivors: Husband, Jerry; sons, Brent, Kerry and Jon Marc Morris; daughter-in-law, Kathy Morris; grandchildren, Amanda, Clinton, Taylor and Austin Morris; sisters, Janet Billings, Terry Swafford and Tammie Simon; nieces, nephews and friends.
