  5. Sure was sorry to hear about Vincent passing away. Didn’t really ever get to spend a lot of time with him but always enjoyed visiting with him when he came to Romans VIII and several times when I was at Paul’s house and he would be there.
Prayers for all his family that has been very kind to me and my family over the years!
    Thank you,
    Steve

  7. Father God, We come boldly before your throne of grace, in the name of Jesus Christ who said, “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself” And we thank you Father that Vincent has reached his final destination, walking the streets of Glory. We bind the spirit of heaviness, and we release the peace of Jesus over the Yokum family. And remember the words of the Apostle Paul who said, “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.” We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

  9. Pat, I tried to send a Beautiful Poem; however it is too long. I’ll bring you a copy over.
My heart and thoughts are with you and your family. Whatever Our sorrow, bereavement, or loneliness, we have a sympathizing Friend in Jesus… Love you Pat

  11. Vincent was a deep thinker. There were things he understood that most people don’t get. And he had a wry sense of humor–it permeated everything he said and did: like the ballcap he wore that read “Texan By Birth, Southern By The Grace Of God.” He will be missed.

I suppose a lesson we can glean from the trajectory of his life is that he paid dearly for some of his youthful mistakes–and let’s be clear, we’ve ALL made mistakes! That he was patient in his suffering is testimony that God’s grace reaches out to us in spite of ourselves. And now Vincent is no longer suffering in the flesh; he is before the throne of God with that throng singing “worhty is the Lamb that was slain for our sins.”

Jesus is indeed worthy of the highest and best we can give Him.

I know you live and breathe knowing that if you know Jesus Christ , as your savior, you will see him again ! My condolences ,
and prayers for the family. Pat
