Vida E. Bernadisius, age 74 of Mansfield, TX, formerly of Monee, IL was called home on October 23, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vitas and Justina. Loving mother to Brian Harris and his wife Melissa. Cherished “Nana” to Taylor Harris, Morgan Clifton, Mallory Harris and Claudia Harris, John Alexander Bachinskas and Andrew Collins. Beloved sister to Raymond Bernadisius. Dearest companion of George “Don” Alles. Vida was born in Germany on August 21, 1946 during her parents’ stay in a Displaced Peoples camp while attempting to flee from Soviet occupation of their beloved Lithuania. In 1950 she immigrated to the United States with her parents and settled in the Marquette Park area of Chicago, IL. She attended and graduated from Maria High School. Her career spanned over 50 years in the accounting/bookkeeping sector, which she loved. Vida had a bright and energetic personality. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. Vida enjoyed dining, dancing, traveling, as well as many other social endeavors. A Celebration of Life to be held in Mansfield, TX on Saturday November 7, 2020. An additional Celebration of Life to be held in Frankfort, IL in the Spring of 2021 due to the COVID crisis.
