Vernon Alton Schronk
BURLESON — Vernon Alton Schronk, 82, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2012. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Memorials: May be made to Accolade Hospice, 308 E. Renfro, Burleson, Texas 76028. Vernon was born Jan. 14, 1930, in Malone to Otto and Janie Schronk; He proudly served his country in the National Guard for two years and then enlisted in the United States Air Force and served four years during the Korean War. Vernon retired after 30 years at Lockheed Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter in law, Tricia Schronk. Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Alice; daughter, Carol Williams; son, Kevin Schronk and wife, Kelly; brother, Robert Schronk and wife, Mary; grandsons, Dustin Schronk and wife, Misty, and Bo Hu; stepgrandsons, Tanner and Levi Woody; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends.

  2. I am so sorry to learn of Vernon’s passing. Of all our Cousins, Vernon was always upbeat and so very pleasant to visit with. A true friend.
    When I was much younger, I attended TCU in Fort worth and found Vernon and Alice to be there for me when I needed a friend to keep me strait.
    God bless all who are grieving the passing of this “very special person.”
