Teddy Ray Coon
In loving memory Teddy Ray Coon passed away peacefully August 15, 2020. Teddy was a hot rod lover, in fact when he was younger one of his nick names was Rod. He was always working on fast cars. Also Granny Coon called him Teddy Button because he was cute as a button. I know Teddy wasn’t able to do all the things he wanted with all his children but he talked about them and loved them very much. Teddy also loved his cowboy hat, blue jeans, cowboy boots and Father God. Teddy Ray Coon is survived by his Sister Janet Martinez and her husband Manuel Martinez, Brothers, Jerry Coon and his wife Regina Coon, James Bradley Coon, David Barnett and his wife Anna Barnett , Sons, Terry Coon, Anthony Coon, Brian Coon, Teddy Ray Coon (Trey), John Coon, Niece , Carolyn Foster and her husband Allen Foster, Samantha Barnett, Nephews, Alan Winkley, Beau Winkley and his wife Gabby Winkley, Jerry Martinez and his son Abel Martinez, David Barnett (Jr.), Mathew Barnett and other Niece’s and Nephews, Grandson, Arron Coon and good friend Alan Winkley and his wife Phyllis Winkley of Cove Arkansas. I wanted to say that Teddy lived with me the last two years of his life and he talked about Father God and Jesus all the time. Teddy is a redeemed child of God and I know he would have wanted me to post this scripture. Psalm 91 1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. 3 For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. 4 He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. 5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. 6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. 7 Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. 8 Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. 9 If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, 10 no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. 11 For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. 12 They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. 13 You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! 14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. 15 When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. 16 I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”

  1. Teddy was my uncle and I loved him very much. I know he is in Heaven with the Father of the universe because Jesus came and sacrificed Himself so we all could be saved.

Teddy was cared for and loved in his life by his brother Brad when no one else could be there like Brad could. That is probably why Teddy lived as long as he did (they lived together). He went through some hard times in his life, I am sure, but he made it to the end of his life saved by God Himself. Teddy was always talking to Father God and a lot of people think that is strange but I do it too so Teddy and I are two peas in a pod when it comes to talking to God (out loud).

I was able to know Teddy more when he moved into an RV at my house and started to get on his feet and pay rent. He did so good. He started to get ill about 2 yrs ago and has been going in and out of the hospital, in that 2 yrs he came out stronger and better until about 3 months ago. He took care of all his needs and when he needed me I was there. There wasn’t anything to hard to do to help someone who needed it so much. I watched him so brave when he was so ill. He was a hero just by the way he took care of himself. I told him I don’t mind being here when you need me and he let me in his private area when he needed help but all the rest of the time he was independent just like he was in his life.

He had a hardy appetite for good food and loved and lived freely. He enjoyed quiet days and spoke softly to God under his breath and I know God was there because God does the same thing with me. I so look forward to seeing my family in Heaven so we can start over in a perfect atmosphere for our family to thrive in. This ole world is a hard place to have Heaven because we are here to find God. A lot of people do not find God before they pass but Teddy did.

I am sad yet happy that he is gone. I cry but I think I must be crying for myself what I should have, could have done for him one last time or what I should have done differently while he was here. All I can say is I will use his passing to better the world with my pain of not loving the best I could have when I had the chance. I will change that by taking time for others and caring even if I’m busy, tired or rushed because I loved my uncle Teddy and watched him so strong at the end.

    Your Caring Niece Carolyn Foster

    1. I’ll miss my father dearly, he wasn’t around a whole lot growing up, but I know he loved us kids. He struggled with demons just like the rest of us. I dont hold any of it against him. He got right with God and that’s what matters. He had a huge heart and loved his hot rods. I like to think I got my love of cars from him. I love you dad. Love always, teddy ray
