She is predeceased by her father, Billy Jack Hathcock, sister, Ethel Jane Martinez, brothers, James Martin Green, & Jerry Green.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Carter, children, Christopher Casey Purgason, Sara Diane Herrera, Janie Nicole Carter, Amie Lorene Carter, sisters, Emma Jane Miller, Ruby Pearl Helton, Carolyn Faye Zapata, Linda Le Sanders, & 10 grandchildren.
Tammy Jo was a straightforward and no nonsense woman that had no trouble expressing her opinion & making sure her voice was heard. She inherited her stubbornness and hard head from her mother & held fast to what she believed. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She cherished her role as their Mimi & loved them wholeheartedly. She faced each day equipped with a cigarette in hand, her quirky sense of humor, & her heart on her sleeve. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She left this world suddenly & unexpectedly, & though she is gone from our lives, she will always be loved & never leave our memories.
