Shirley Ann Benson
Shirley Ann Benson, 79, passed from this life into the arms of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on October 5, 2016, after a brief illness. Visitation: 10:30 to 12:30  MondayOctober 10, 2016 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson with the Graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth. Shirley was born November 22, 1936, in Whitewright, TX. She made her home in Burleson in 2005.   She loved her home, her two cats, and the Texas Rangers. But mainly she loved her children. She was always there to help them and was a strong and loving presence throughout her life. Life will not be the same without her. She is survived by son Gary Rhudy, and his wife, Dawn; son David Rhudy, and his wife Lori; daughter Lisa Reese; grandsons Jeremy Rhudy, Jason Rhudy and David Rhudy; and great-grandchildren Angel Rhudy and Gabbie Rhudy. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the SPCA or charity of their choice.

  5. So sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. Even though I never met her, she was my first cousin. Her dad, Travis, was brother to my dad, J.D. Bush. Blessings to the family and friends.
